Conference “Current Strategies for Diagnosis and Treatment of Neurological and Psychiatric Diseases” was held online in TNMU

On March 25-26, 2021, the National and International Research and Training Conference “Current Strategies for Diagnosis and Treatment of Neurological and Psychiatric Diseases” was held in I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University. The event was organized jointly by the Department of Neurology and the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology and Medical Psychology. Taken into account the challenging epidemic situation in Ukraine and the world caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the conference was held online.

Professor Mykhailo Korda, the rector of TNMU welcomed the conference participants. He pointed out the urgency of the scientific meeting, as during the conference the participants consider topical issues of diagnosis, treatment, prevention of neurological and psychiatric diseases, which are now a socio-economic problem. Treatment and rehabilitation of patients require a strong economic basis of the country.

Olha Yarmolenko, the Head of the Health Department of the Ternopil Regional State Administration, delivered a welcome speech.

The experts from all over Ukraine, in particular from Kyiv, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, and Lviv, took part in the scientific meeting. 2816 participants were registered. During the meetings, 18 scientific reports were presented and discussed.

The participants of the event appreciated a constructive dialogue, because the sharing experience and live communication is the key to a reliable, successful partnership.
