The Jubilee International Medical Congress of Students and Young Scientists Took Place in TNMU

The traditional International Medical Congress of Students and Young Scientists, which is held in April at the Chervona Kalyna Recreation Centre of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, celebrated its 25^th anniversary. Unfortunately, for the second time scientific forum was held online, due to the difficult epidemic situation in Ukraine and the world caused by coronavirus pandemic.

The anniversary of our congress testifies the great experience and traditions; it is the development of scientific research in medicine, sharing experience and association with young and successful scientists.

The participants of the scientific event, which took place on April 12-14, 2021, were representatives from 15 cities of Ukraine, as well as India, Poland and Germany. For 3 days they discussed current issues and prospects of contemporary medicine in plenary and sectional meetings. A total of 500 research papers were submitted for publication. 64 guests from Ukrainian universities and 161 young scientists of TNMU took part in the congress.

Professor Mykhaylo Korda, the Rector of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University welcomed the participants of the congress.

Professor Ivan Klishch, the Vice-Rector for Research, stressed the importance of the development of science by young scientists.

Anastasia Dub, the Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists, congratulated the participants of the scientific meeting and said that this year 500 abstracts were accepted for publication: 200 papers were submitted from different cities of Ukraine: Kyiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kramatorsk, Vinnytsia, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Uzhhorod, Poltava, Zhytomyr, as well as from India, Poland and Germany.

Tetyana Petrunko, the chairman of the board of the Students Scientific Society presented to the participants of the congress the plan of section meetings, which took place for three days. For each day there were two parallel broadcasts on the YouTube channel of the Council of Young Scientists (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5a2As0yjdSM1hkrUQzRLVQ ) and the Students Scientific Society (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0yaY11HHKQ6QKqr ).

During the forum, young scientists presented their reports in the following sections: Internal Medicine; Surgery, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Paediatric Surgery; Orthopaedics, Traumatology, Emergency Medicine, Resuscitation, Anaesthesiology; Paediatrics; Youth Public and Volunteer Activities, Student Government as a Platform for the Development of Soft-Skills and Personal Qualities of the Future Physician; Experimental Medicine; Normal Morphology and Experiments, Pathomorphology, Forensic Medicine; Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry; Communicable Diseases, Dermatovenereology; Obstetrics and Gynaecology; Clinical Nursing, Clinical Immunology and Allergology, Current Problems of Medicine, Cases from practice; Ophthalmology, Dentistry, ORL Disorders; Preventive Medicine, Social Medicine and Health Care, Medical Informatics, Medical Law; Pharmacology and Pharmacy; Biology and Microbiology.

Oleksandr Terenda, Mykhailo Protsyk, Yana Hruntenko, Tetyana Petrunko, Anastasia Smachylo, Alina Zhemela, Iryna Yastremska, Andrii Shved, Anna-Maria Koval (TNMU) and Lina Katrychenko (Ukrainian Medical Dental Academy) took the first place in the Internal Diseases section. The curators of the Internal Medicine section were Professor Nadiia Yarema, Professor Leonid Hryshchuk, Associate Professor Oleksandr Susla, Associate Professor Liudmyla Naumova, Associate Professor Tamila Palamar, Associate Professor Tetiana Boiko, Associate Professor Neonila Korylchuk, Associate Professor Halyna Lykhatska, Associate Professor Andrii Lepiavko, Associate Professor Tatiana Uhliar. The moderator of the section was Yana Hruntenko, a 5^th year student of the Faculty of Medicine.

Oleksandr Terenda, Mykhailo Protsyk, Yana Hruntenko, Tetyana Petrunko, Anastasia Smachylo, Alina Zhemela, Iryna Yastremska, Andrii Shved, Anna-Maria Koval (TNMU) and Lina Katrychenko (Ukrainian Medical Dental Academy) took the first awardin the Internal Diseases section. Lilia Rasevych, Kateryna Simko, Andriy Vuiv, Vladyslav Bondar, Uliana Dmyterko, Lesia Mykhalchuk, Olena Luts, Dmytro Koval, Mehra Simran, Yakubu Zipporah, Andrii Lepiavko, Inna Vehera (TNMU) and Natalia Nosko (Shupyk University of Healthcare of Ukraine) won the second award among young scientists.

Stepan Vankevych, Ostap Saturskyi (TNMU), Taras Hriadil (Uzhhorod National University), Anastasia Puzyriova (Dnipropetrovsk Medical Academy), Maria Koteliukh (Kharkiv National Medical University), Juliia Belikova Bogomolets National Medical Academy) and Anastasia Yaroslavtseva (Ukrainian Medical Dental Academy) received the third award.

Professor Volodymyr Hnativ, Professor Petro Herasymchuk, Professor Oleksandr Shidlovskyi, Associate Professor Natalia Marchenkova, Associate Professor Yurii Hrubar, Associate Professor Ivan Smachylo, Associate Professor Petro Bodnar, Associate Professor Andrii Dobrorodnii, Associate Professor Roman Liakhovych, Associate Professor Yaroslav Kitsak were curators in the section of Surgery, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Paediatric Surgery; Orthopaedics, Traumatology; Emergency Medicine, Resuscitation, Anaesthesiology. The moderator of the section was Vadym Buratynskyi, a 6^th year student of the Faculty of Medicine.

In the section of Surgery, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Paediatric Surgery; Orthopaedics, Traumatology; Emergency Medicine, Intensive Care, Anaesthesiology Iryna Zubok, Mariana Yavorivska, Tetiana Petrunko, Yana Hruntenko, Khrystyna Surman (TNMU), Yulia Babii, Volodymyr Shaprynskyi (Vinnytsia National Pirogov Medical University), Vladyslava Ostapchuk, Vadym Ostapchuk, Yulia Balaban, Petro Bodnar, Boryslav Selsky, Alina Zhemela, Kateryna Symko, Olesia Tys (TNMU) took the first award among students.

The second award went to Roman Chornopyshchuk (Vinnytsia National Pirogov Medical University), Anastasia Chernenko, Ihor Kulbaba, Natalia Hyrenko, Yulia Honcharuk, Ivan Duliuk, Zakhar Onyschuk (TNMU), Petro Myronov (Sumy State University), Hryhoriy Nikitin, Anna Harbuz, Dorcas M’Bandzi (Kharkiv National Medical University).

Yurii Chornomydz, Volodymyr Lukianenko, Sofia Kopytchak, Oleksandr Lohin, Iryna Dovha, Gurnish Panesar (TNMU) and Serhii Kononenko (Ukrainian Medical Dental Academy) received the third award.

Uliana Saturska, Ostap Saturskyi, Anna-Maria Koval, Mykola Shved, Oksana Reha (TNMU) and Anastasiia Pohribna (Zaporizhzhia State Medical University) were the winners in the section of Paediatrics.

The second award went to Olha Kravtsiv, Lilia Predyk, Thandeka Nompumelelo Thonye-Ndebele (TNMU) and Olha Tymoshyna (Zaporizhzhia Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education).

Karazin Kharkiv National University) received the third award.

Associate Professor Iryna Zalipska, Marta Rudenko, Nadiia Oliinyk were curators in the section of Youth Public and Volunteer Activities, Student Government as a Platform for Development of Soft-Skills and Personal Qualities of the Future Physician. Tetiana Dovhalets, a 4^th year student of the Faculty of Dentistry, was the moderator of the section. Khan Shumayel, Prajwal Tippannavar, Daryna Shandruk, Valeria Blahulyak, Yulia Pravak, Anastasia Shkrobot, Anna Shkrobot (TNMU) were the winners.

The second award went to Yulia Pravak, Valeria Petrenko, Bohdana Bondaruk, Daryna Shandruk (TNMU).

Anna Shkrobot, Daryna Shandruk, Anastasia Shkrobot, Vladislav Titov, Yulia Bandrivska, Tetiana Oper, Andriana Buchko, Marta Struk, Maria Semerez (TNMU) received the third award.

Professor Olha Denefil, Professor Stepan Vadziuk, Professor Ivan Klishch, Associate Professor Tetiana Yaroshenko, Associate Professor Natalia Potikha, Associate Professor Ihor Pankiv, Associate Professor Roman Tsytsiura, Viktor Shatsky, Kateryna Yuriiv, Assistant Professor Lilia Palytsia were the curators in the section of Experimental Medicine. Oleksandr Cholach, a 5^th year student of the Faculty of Medicine was the moderator of the section.

Roksana Drevnitska, Bohdan Avdieiev, Mykola Shved, Anna-Maria Koval, Yulia Pihovska, Valentyna Heriak, Sofia Musienko, Yulia Ziomko, Markiian Medynskyi (TNMU), Yevhenia Zorenko, Tetiana Horbach (Kharkiv National University), Viktoria Hryhorieva (Ukrainian Medical Dental Academy), Uliana Kotiuk (TNMU) were the winners.

The second award went to Kateryna Kovalchuk, Alina Diadenchuk, Ilona Palii, Yulia Zahrychuk, Olesia Redko (TNMU) and Zoriana Karpik (Ukrainian Medical Dental Academy).

Professor Zoia Nebesna, Professor Oksana Kuziv, Associate Professor Svitlana Trach Rosolovska, Associate Professor Ivan Pylypko, Associate Professor Solomiia Kramar, Olena Hladii, Taras Stravsky were the curators of the section of Normal Morphology and Experiments; Pathomorphology, Forensic Medicine. Artem Malanchuk, a 5^th year student of the Faculty of Medicine was the moderator of the section.

The winners were Natalia Ohinska, Oleksandr Maslii, Pavlo Zapotichnyi, Maria Maryniuk, Maiia Deresh (TNMU), Vladyslav Marchenko, Vitalii Ilika (Bukovynian State Medical University), Andriy Kondratyshyn, Yaroslav Bodnar, Oleksandr Terenda, Lilia Bereznytska (TNMU).

The second award went to Olena Zhaha (Ukrainian Medical Dental Academy), Olha Zhurakivska, Marta Vasylyk (Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University), Dmytro Koval, Diana Koshovska, Olga Stanovych, Tetiana Bilyk, Maria Valkiv (TNMU).

Lilia Fedyshyn (TNMU) and Volodymyr Orel (D. Halytskyi Lviv National Medical University) received the third award.

Professor Olena Venher, Associate Professor Liubov Milevska-Vovchuk, Volodymyr Bilous, Assistant Professor Roksolana Nasalik were curators in the section of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry. Yana Gruntenko, a 5^th year student of the Faculty of Medicine was the moderator of the section.

Viktoria Dubynetska (P. Shupyk National University of Healthcare of Ukraine), Oleksandr Terenda, Mykhailo Protsyk, Tetiana Ivanitska (TNMU) were the winners.

Professor Vasyl Kopcha, Professor Svitlana Halnykina, and Associate Professor Maria Shkilna were curators of the section of Infectious Diseases; Dermatovenereology. Vadym Buratynskyi, a 6^th year student of the Faculty of Medicine was the moderator of the section. Mariana Huk and Oleksandr Cholach (TNMU) were the winners.

The second award went to Oksana Yashchenko (TNMU), Svitlana Khalak, Nadiia Nakonechna (Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University), Diana Dola (Vinnytsia National Pirogov Medical University).

Professor Svitlana Heriak, Professor Larysa Malanchuk, Associate Professor Inna Korda, Viktoria Martyniuk were curators of the section of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Artem Malanchuk, a 5^th year student of the Faculty of Medicine was the moderator of the section.

Tetiana Todorova (Odessa National Medical University), Michael Yeboah-Boateng, Marym Mohammed Siddiqui, Olena Miklashevska, Yulia Yakymchuk, Mariia Riabokon, Artem Malanchuk (TNMU), Natalia Zokhniuk (Bohomolets National Medical University) were the winners.

The second award went to Olha Hetun, Natalia Petrova, Anastasia Trofimchuk, Svitlana Babii (TNMU).

Khrystyna Ivanyk, Olha Pastushyna, Nazarii Hlyva, Andrii Stakhiv (TNMU) received the third award.

Professor Ihor Hospodarskyi, Associate Professor Svitlana Yastremska, Olha Krekhovska-Lepiavko were the curators of the section of Clinical Nursing; Clinical Immunology and Allergology; Current Issues of Medicine; Cases from Practice. Oleksandr Cholach, a 5^th year student of the Faculty of Medicine was a moderator of the section.

Shaikh Ayesha (TNMU), Natalia Tokarieva, Alina Nikutova (Dnipropetrovsk Medical Academy were the winners.

The second award went to Daria Melnyk (Zhytomyr Medical Institute), Maryna Bachu (Bukovynian State Medical University), Olha Kozak, Ihor Hospodarskyi (TNMU), Oleksandr Duka (Bogomolets National Medical University).

Olha Namisniak and Yadav Shivam (TNMU) received the third place.

The second award went to Maria Semerez (TNMU), Olesia Porovai, Tetiana Masiukova, Kateryna Suntsova, Vladyslav Yevtushok (Ukrainian Medical Dental Academy).

Bohdana Bila, Maria Usova, Liubomyr Bilous (TNMU), Eldar Nurdinov (Zhytomyr Medical Institute) received the third award.

Professor Mykola Kashuba, Professor Olena Lototska, Professor Andrii Holiachenko, Professor Anna Saturska, Professor Natalia Terenda, Associate Professor Natalia Panchyshyn were curators of the section of Preventive Medicine, Social Medicine and Health Care, Medical Informatics, Medical Law. Vadym Buratynskyi, a 6^th year student of the Faculty of Medicine was the moderator of the section.

Anastasia Klepova, Anna Samoteikina (Kharkiv National Medical University), Yulia Bandrivska, Yulia Pravak (TNMU) were the winners.

Second place went to Liubomyr Lutsiv, Olha Feher (Uzhhorod National University), Olha Kravtsiv, Sofia Kopytchak, Volodymyr Lukianenko (TNMU).

Professor Oleksandra Oleshchuk, Professor Kateryna Posokhova, Professor Svitlana Marchyshyn, Professor Lilia Lohoida, Associate Professor Olha Poliak, Associate Professor Mariana Demchuk, Associate Professor Yulia Ravliv were curators of the section of Pharmacology and Pharmacy. Yana Hruntenko, a 5^th year student of the Faculty of Medicine was the moderator of the section.

Inna Kravchuk and Dmytro Koval (TNMU) were the winners.

The second award went to Tetiana Lemishka, Aliona Savych, Anna Shyrko, Mariana Vasenda, Lilia Budniak (TNMU).

Anna-Maria Koval, Mykola Shved, Ivanna Sherenhovska (TNMU) and Kateryna Khokhlova (National University of Pharmacy) received the third award.

Professor Larysa Fedoniuk, Associate Professor Olena Pokryshko, Associate Professor Natalia Kravets, Oksana Yarema, Assistant Professor Olena Skyba were curators of the section of Biology and Microbiology. Vadym Buratynskyi, a 6^th year student of the Faculty of Medicine was moderator of the section.

Viktoria Yurkiv, Marta Butkovska, Aditya Narayan Pandey (TNMU) were the winners.

The second award went to Anastasia Budarna, Chun Mohammadm Hakimshah, Olena Nesterenko, Oksana Yarema (TNMU).

Tetiana Stepaniuk, Olesia Lemishka, Yulia Haliiash (TNMU), Viktoria Voinash, Daria Maryniak (Ukrainian Medical Dental Academy) received the third award.

Illia Matushevskyi (Vinnytsia National Pirogov Medical University), Viktoria Bedei, Yelyzaveta Sukharieva (Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University) and Ilona Remeziuk (TNMU) won in the nomination “Best Poster”.

The second award went to Anna Demydenko, Natalia Tokarieva, Alina Nikutova (Dnipropetrovsk Medical Academy), Iryna Stetsiuk (Zaporizhzhia State Medical University).

Olha Vykhor-Turchyk, Iryna Krasiuk, Viktoria Aleksieieva (Kyiv City Center for Nephrology and Dialysis) received the third award.

The participants expressed gratitude to the congress organizers constructive dialogue and sharing experience.
