On the second weekend of September the Conference the 13th International Neurosymposium took place in the city of Odessa. The teachers of the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology and Medical Psychology of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University: Professor Venher Olena Petrivna, the Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Ivanitska Tetiana Ivanivna took part in the conference.
During the event, the leading experts discussed the latest developments in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies of the nervous and mental systems. Through the four days of the conference, numerous lectures and workshops were held; the participants shared their experience with Ukrainian colleagues as well as with international experts invited.
The conference program was quite ample; topical issues of the following areas were discussed: psychogenic movement and cognitive disorders, neurocognitive disorders due to COVID-19, mood disorders, the range of sleep disorders in the elderly, heterogeneity of phenotypes and the most common clinical profile of depression, current treatment approaches, extrapyramidal disorders. Post-COVID syndrome, its treatment and prevention were frequently discussed as well.
This event provided an arena for discussion of clinical cases, sharing experience that is certainly a positive basis for gaining relevant useful information and further its use in the daily practice of treating patients. The hospitable reception, ample program, interesting reports made the symposium one of the most significant events of the national medical space, which is really worth attending.
