TNMU Received Ultrasound Equipment for Educational Purposes
On April 8, 2022, the representatives of the German-Ukrainian society “Rhine-Neckar”, which is a credible partner of Ukraine in the humanitarian field, donated ultrasound machines to I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University. They were delivered with the assistance of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Federal Republic of Germany.

Rector of TNMU, Professor Mykhaylo Korda emphasized that “the received equipment will be used at Ternopil Medical University to teach students. One of the machines will be installed in the Centre for Medical Simulation, the other – at the Department of Physiology, where students learn the basics of ultrasound diagnostics. The third apparatus will be transferred to the Department of Gynaecology in order for students to master the skills of examining female patients with ultrasound. We are grateful to the German-Ukrainian Society and the Ternopil Regional Council for their support and assistance in the development of medical education”.

The head of the Ternopil Regional Council Mykhailo Holovko added that the head of the Ukrainian diaspora in Goldberg Andrii Bernadyn has always kept in touch with Ternopil and he was the initiator of the transfer of the educational equipment to TNMU. According to him, this will help future doctors to better master the practical skills of modern diagnostics.
