TNMU Handed Over an Ambulance Car for the Needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University assisted in obtaining an ambulance for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The car was provided by Klaus-Achim Surnman, a representative of the German Dental Association (Stiftung Hilfswerk Deutscher Zahnartzte). He managed to draw attention of Pharmacists Without Borders Germany and Apotheker ohne Grenzen Deutschland, who bought the car at their own expense, and TNMU helped to transport the ambulance to Ukraine.

Support in the success of this humanitarian project was provided by the dental community of Ukraine, in particular the NGO “Ukrainian Dental Association” led by President Iryna Mazur and TNMU Professor Nataliia Hasiuk.

On May 14, 2022, the representatives of one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received the keys to the car and in the nearest future it will be used by our healthcare providers to help wounded soldiers.

The military doctors expressed their deepest appreciation: they will now have specialized vehicles to evacuate the wounded and provide them with timely medical care.
