Research Paper by TNMU Student Won First Prize at the International Conference in Samarkand
On May 20-21, 2022, Samarkand State Medical University hosted the 76th International Scientific-Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists “Achievements of Fundamental, Applied Medicine and Pharmacy”, in which students of Ternopil National Medical University have been actively participating for several years.

During this event, there were 15 sectional meetings, during which experienced scientists had an opportunity to hear presentations of participants in various fields of medicine: public health, humanities in medicine; internal diseases; cardiology; neurology; topical issues of psychiatry; sports medicine and rehabilitation; paediatrics; topical issues of obstetrics, gynaecology and reproductive medicine; topical issues of experimental and fundamental medicine; topical issues of surgery and urology; topical issues of paediatric surgery; neurosurgery, current issues of oncology and traumatology; modern achievements of clinical and fundamental pharmacology; innovative approaches in dentistry, otorhinolaryngology and ophthalmology; modern approaches to the clinical picture, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of infectious diseases.

In total, there were more than 270 presentations by students and 34 young scientists from medical universities and research institutes around the world.
Yuliia Pravak, a sixth-year medical student, presented her research in the Paediatric Surgery Section together with her research supervisor, Ihor Krytskyi, PhD in Medicine, Associate Professor of the Department of Children’s Diseases and Paediatric Surgery. This scientific achievement of TNMU was awarded first prize. Proceedings of the conference were published in a special issue of the international journal “Problems of Biology and Medicine”.
Such activities make a significant contribution to engaging talented young scientists and students to research and effective use of their potential and research papers, further improvement of the quality of teaching fundamental and clinical disciplines in medical universities and health care in the country and international development. cooperation.
