Humanitarian Aid from Training and Rehabilitation Centre in Żywiec (Poland)

On June 27, 2022, the Volunteer Centre of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University received a humanitarian consignment from the director of the Training and Rehabilitation Centre, which is part of the Children’s Aid Foundation in Żywiec, Poland (Fundacja Pomocy Dzieciom w Żywcu, Poland), Dr. Renata Błecha. She organized a collection of medicines, blankets and medical equipment among the medical community of Żywiec.

Thanks to the Children’s Aid Foundation, TNMU received 2 functional beds for educational needs, which will become part of the training classes in the Training Centre for Medical Simulation. Students who receive higher education in the specialty “Physical Therapy. Occupational Therapy” will be able to master their practical skills and take OSCE.

For the needs of the wounded soldiers, a wheelchair, 90 kg of medical supplies, 10 kg of blankets and quilts were received from Polish supporters.

We express our deepest appreciation to our long-term partners in the person of Renata Błecha and the staff of the Training and Rehabilitation Centre, as well as the Polish people for their strong and continuous support.
