TNMU Students Replenished the “Box of Courage”

A team of volunteer students of Ternopil National Medical University once again replenished the “Box of Courage” to cheer up young patients of the hematology department of the Ternopil City Communal Hospital.

During Shevchenko Days, members of the international sector of TNMU Student Parliament Umer Salam Dar (IM-341) and Syed Mohd Anas Azam (IM-329) organized a drawing competition dedicated to the outstanding Ukrainian poet. They suggested organizing a sale of the best works during the charity fair in order to raise funds for sick children.

We would like to thank the caring residents of Ternopil, who responded to this idea with their generous contributions and thus helped raise the necessary amount for children with cancer. Together with Ilona Novakivska (MM-602), who coordinates this project, the participants of the “Box of Courage” bought toys. Members of the team Nazarii Krulyk, (MM-373), Iryna Marchak (MM-373), Tetiana Shevchuk (MM-220) met with the medical staff and handed over gifts to their little patients. The children will choose the toys themselves, looking into the “Box of Courage”, after the medical procedures.
