TNMU Hosted the 20th All-Ukrainian Conference with International Participation “Modern Trends and Prospects for the Development of Higher Medical (Pharmaceutical) Education in Ukraine”

The 20th All-Ukrainian scientific and applied conference with international participation “Modern trends and prospects for the development of higher medical (pharmaceutical) education in Ukraine” was held online on May 18-19, 2023 at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University.

The Rector of TNMU, Professor Mykhaylo Korda, addressed the participants of the event with a welcoming speech, wishing everyone effective work. The head of the university briefly spoke about the history of the conference and noted that due to objective circumstances – the pandemic and the full-scale war in Ukraine – the fourth event is being held online. Professor Mykhaylo Korda emphasized that during the war and after our victory, Ukraine needs and will need highly qualified specialists, therefore training must continue, universities must provide all the necessary conditions for this. “Everyone in their turn is trying to do something useful for the army and the victory of Ukraine. Among our teachers there are many those who perform their medical duties at the frontline, among students there are many those who defend Ukraine with weapons in their hands and work as combat medics, many teachers are engaged in volunteer activities. The performance of our direct professional duties, that is, ensuring the educational process and teaching, can also be considered as a contribution to the future of Ukraine and its victory,” Mykhaylo Korda added.

The organizing committee received more than 100 scientific reports, which will be published in the journal “Medical Education”.
