TNMU Volunteer Centre Received Humanitarian Aid from Our Permanent Supporter from Italy Carlo Pedrina
On June 6, 2023, the Volunteer Centre of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University received humanitarian aid from Italy sent by Dr. Carlo Pedrina. The consignment included 60 kg of medicines and 88 kg of baby food.
It is our pleasure to mention that all the medicines were purchased by our supporter from Italy at the request of our defenders and military hospitals. In particular, Carlo Pedrina sent angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors, antiemetics, drugs that inhibit peristalsis, beta-lactam antibiotics, penicillin, antibacterial agents, aminoglycosides, azalides, antiprotozoal drugs, sedatives, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, vitamins.

Carlo Pedrina repeatedly sent humanitarian goods to the Volunteer Centre of TNMU. All medicines and medical devices are given to medical institutions located in the zone of active hostilities, as well as to the civilian population in accordance with their needs. Specialized hospitals and local residents in the occupied territories received baby food.
In the first month of the start of Russia’s large-scale military invasion of Ukraine, this Italian doctor handed over 98 boxes of medical supplies. The second consignment from Carlo Pedrina contained 65 kg of medicines and 45 kg of medical devices. The third transfer consisted of 100 kg of medicines, 50 kg of medical supplies and 115.8 kg of baby food. The fourth consignment consisted of 250 kg of medicines, 20 kg of medical devices and 147.6 kg of baby food. The fifth transfer included 120 kg of medicines and medical supplies, as well as 198 kg of baby food.
