The Order of Saint Panteleimon was Awarded to Ternopil Doctors

On August 9, 2023, a festive awarding ceremony of the “Order of Saint Panteleimon” award for professionalism and charity was held in Kyiv.

This season, the best doctors were chosen in the following categories:
1. “For selfless service to the Ukrainian people, courage and fidelity in the fight for the health of Ukrainians, for the freedom and independence of Ukraine in the war with the Russian aggressor” (for civilian doctors);
2. “For selfless service to the Ukrainian people, courage and fidelity in the fight for the health of Ukrainians, for the freedom and independence of Ukraine in the war with the Russian aggressor” (for military medics).
In addition, the organizers renewed the tradition of past years – prayers in the National Reserve “Sofia Kyivska” for peace, for the health of the Ukrainian people and our soldiers, for the health of doctors, for award winners, for the speedy recovery of all the sick and infirm. This event was attended by members of the council, nominees for honours and heads of regional councils.

At the meeting of the Honourable Council, which took place before the award ceremony, the protocol of the counting commission of the secret voting of the members of the Honourable Council was approved. It was unanimously decided to postpone the celebration of St. Panteleimon’s Day to July 27 according to the Julian calendar.
Ternopil residents are among the laureates this year. It:

• Bohdan Maslii, PhD, the Head of the Interventional Radiology Department of Ternopil Regional Hospital;
• Volodymyr Lisovskyi, Director (chief physician) of Ternopil Central District Hospital, since 01.03.22 – head of the medical centre of the military unit A7100.
