Meeting with the Students of the International Students Faculty
On September 20, 2023, a meeting of the sixth-year students of the International Students Faculty with the Dean, Professor Mariya Marushchak, representatives of the dean’s office, the Training Program Guarantor, Professor Oleksandra Oleshchuk, and Associate Professor of the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology and Medical Psychology Oleksandra Sas was organised.
During the meeting, the issue of ensuring the educational process, the possibility of improving practical skills in the Simulation Training Centre and directly at the patient’s bedside, the work of student groups, preparation for “Step-2” examination, and many other questions were discussed.


Professor Oleksandra Oleshchuk told the students about the uniqueness of our training program, the wide possibilities of forming student’s individual educational pathway, the specialisation of the sixth-year students, the integration of the work of the Simulation Centre into the educational process throughout the entire course of study, access to modern educational web resources.
Oleksandra Oleshchuk thanked the students for their interest in improving the training program, as the results of the questionnaire of students as internal stakeholders are always taken into account when reviewing the training program.

Sixth-year students also expressed their admiration for modern approaches to education, and also spoke positively about the possibility of choosing surgical, therapeutic, obstetrics and gynaecology specialisation, and the specialisation of family medicine.

In connection with the war in Ukraine, students’ anxiety and concern for their psychological state, the university administration also invited Oleksandra Sas to a meeting with students, who once again spoke about the wide range of psychological support for all applicants. In this difficult time for all of us, psychologists of higher education institutions and crisis intervention specialists from all over Ukraine and the world have united for a common goal, the psychological support of our future, our students. At the end of the meeting, students were given the opportunity to fill out questionnaires regarding the quality of the educational process, the educational environment, the quality of teaching, the possibilities of fulfilling their educational needs, and the prospects for the development of the training program.

The administration of the university and the entire research and teaching team are proud of the students who have made a decisive and courageous choice of obtaining a higher education and acquiring professional skills and competences.
