TNMU Teachers Congratulated the Social and Sports School of the “Fundación Real Madrid” on Its Anniversary

On October 7, 2023, the celebration of the 5th anniversary of the Social and Sports School of the “Fundación Real Madrid” foundation was held at the Roman Shukhevych Central Stadium, which was attended by the Head of the Department of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Physical Education Daria Popovych and Associate Professor of this department Viktor Nazaruk who is responsible for sports activities of the department.

School members from Kyiv, Irpin, Khmelnytskyi and Ternopil, as well as school graduates, coordinators, trainers, partners and friends gathered for the celebration. The children competed with their peers from Irpin, Kyiv and Khmelnytskyi, and also played football with Ternopil policemen.

The social and sports school of the “Real Madrid” foundation in Ternopil is attended by more than 300 socially disadvantaged children, who have the opportunity to play football and at the same time study completely free of charge. The “Epicenter for Children” company is the financial partner of this social and sports project. The school’s program provides assistance in learning, studying foreign languages, elective classes based on interests (dance, music, and other arts), intellectual games, excursions, picnics, various groups for the comprehensive development of children and their further integration into society. I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University provided the opportunity to train children in the sports building free of charge for all five years.

It should also be noted that Professor Daria Popovych was one of the initiators of the establishment of the Social and Sports School of “Fundación Real Madrid”. She supported this project throughout the entire period since the day of its establishment, and, thus, received appriaciation from the organizers of the school.
