TNMU Continues Cooperation with the University of Manchester
As part of the #TwinForHope partnership between the School of Medical Sciences of the University of Manchester (the UK) and TNMU, initiated by the Cormack Consultancy Group and supported by UK Universities, regular online meetings and webinars have been launched, during which the lecturers from the University of Manchester share relevant news, advice and life hacks in the field of medicine and the institutional capacity of their university.
Another Webinar “Teaching Online – Helpful Tips” by Dr. Jessica Grundy (MD, PhD) – General Practitioner and Associate Director of MBCHB’s Staff Development Program – was held on October 16, 2023.

The participants of the webinar, registered representatives of TNMU, received many interesting and useful recommendations on how to make online education more accessible, interesting and inclusive, because online education as an educational technology requires a systematic approach and, despite the war, it is important to maintain the quality of the institution’s academic activities.

During the question and answer session, Dr. Jess Grundy received a lot of positive feedback and suggestions for future webinar topics.
On 27 November 2023, a webinar by Professor Harish Thampy (General Practitioner and Associate Director of MBChB Program for Assessment) and Dr. Matt Jones (Consultant Neurologist and Associate Director of MBChB Program for Teaching and Learning) “How to get published (Tips to be published)” was held.

Professor Harish Thampy and Dr. Matt Jones shared with the webinar participants relevant information about the effective use of the entire range of international database tools in the educational process and research activities of the university and practical aspects of their use. Since scientometric indicators are introduced into scientific circulation, they are used to evaluate the work of both individual scientists and universities. The consideration of these issues caused a lively discussion and interested the participants.

The webinar consisted of two parts: 1) how to publish clinical cases and 2) how to publish teaching and learning articles.

Important information: the next webinar from the University of Manchester will take place in January 2024 and will deal with mental health issues, which is especially relevant for Ukraine in the conditions of war.
