TNMU Students Delivered Lectures on the Topic “Glasses or Lenses”

On April 11, 2024, students of TNMU Medical Faculty Olena Iskra (MM-416) and Oleksandra Lovinska (MM-415) gave lectures on the topic “Glasses or lenses” for students of the 7th, 8th and 9th grades of Ternopil Secondary School No. 8.

The purpose of the event “Glasses or lenses” was to tell children about the advantages and disadvantages of glasses and contact lenses, to inform about the importance of lens and eye care before and after using optical items. Also illustrate how people with impaired vision see, dispel myths and talk about UV protection, types of glasses and lenses, how long they should be worn, and how to properly put on and take off lenses.

During the lectures, the children listened attentively and engaged in communication with the lecturers. They also had many questions about vision impairment, laser correction, and eye treatment. Children also shared their stories and examples of using glasses and contact lenses.
