TNMU Presented Training Programs in Nursing at the International Research and Training Conference
On May 16-17, 2024, in Lutsk, TNMU teachers presented reports on the specifics of the training programs in nursing at the International Research and Training Conference “Doctors and Nursing: Transformation in the Conditions of War and Post-War Recovery” – II Forum of Medical Innovations “Healthy Volyn”.

This year, doctors of various specialties and nurses, scientists and teachers, military personnel, rescuers, rehabilitation specialists, psychologists, representatives of the authorities, clergy and public organizations joined the medical and educational event. The speakers of the seminar-workshop were medical scientists and practicing doctors, Ukrainian and foreign scholars of other specialties.
Kateryna Komar, director of the “Nursing Development Centre of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine”, noted the importance of the professional and scientific growth of nurses in Ukraine, which coincides with the vector of development of nursing professions around the world, emphasizing the professional standards of nursing.

Specific attention was paid to issues related to simulation learning methods as a component of the educational program in the training of paramedics (speaker – Professor Arsen Hudyma) and the features of the development and improvement of the research program in the specialty “Nursing”, since the third level of higher education in nursing was recognized as key in the development of scientific leaders in the field of nursing practice, management, research, policy, education and training (the speaker is Professor Maria Marushchak). In addition, it was stated that graduate training of nurses, including at the third level of higher education, is indispensable for the multidimensional and transformational process of personal and professional growth of nurses.

The organization of such scientific and practical meetings is very important, as it gives an opportunity to assess the real state of affairs in nursing, to determine the directions of further development and to find common points of contact between practitioners, scientists, authorities and the public. We express our deep appreciation to the staff of Volyn Medical Institute and its head Tetiana Pastryk for the opportunity of scientific dialogue, discussion of problematic issues, promotion of higher education in nursing.
