Students Majoring in Nursing Completed an Internship in Poland
In May 2024, third-year students of the Educational and Research Institute of Nursing underwent an internship at Mazowiecki Szpital Wojewódzki in Siedlce (Poland).
They got acquainted with the work of the oncology department, saw a lot of the latest equipment used to diagnose and treat cancer. They also visited the radiation therapy room.


TNMU students visited the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, which has four delivery rooms named after the four seasons: winter, spring, summer, and fall. A woman who is about to give birth chooses where and how she wants to deliver her baby. Everything is designed for the comfort of the woman in labor.


They also got acquainted with the work of the Cardiology Department and the Department of Surgery and Intensive Care, and they learned about the peculiarities of providing care in case of emergencies as well as of providing first aid. The future nurses attended a coronary artery bypass surgery. The students visited the Admissions Department and got acquainted with its work, learned about the rules of asepsis and antisepsis that are followed in the facility as well as the specifics of disinfection and sterilization.
During their visit to Siedlce, our students also visited the Collegium Mazovia, a simulation center, and met with the rector, Dr. Bożena Piechowicz.
