Summer School of Public Law Took Place in Lugano: New Horizons for Ukrainian Medical Education

From August 19 to 24, 2024, the Summer School of Public Law took place in the picturesque city of Lugano, Switzerland. For 33 years in a row, the event has brought together leading experts, researchers, and students from around the world to discuss the latest approaches in the field of public health.

This year, the event was attended by Anna Stefaniivna Khmil, Associate Professor of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology No. 1, and an obstetrician-gynaecologist. Her participation was part of a Ukrainian-Swiss project aimed at modernizing medical education in Ukraine through international cooperation, focusing on raising medical education standards by exchanging knowledge and experience between Ukrainian and Swiss medical institutions.

During the Summer School, participants had the opportunity to learn about modern approaches to public health management, including aspects of policy, economics, and resource management. This knowledge is crucial for improving medical services in Ukraine, as it allows for the implementation of advanced methods in medical practice.

For students and staff of TNMU, participation in such international events is an important step toward professional development. The acquired knowledge and experience not only enrich the educational process but also prepare the next generation of medical professionals for modern challenges. Integrating international practices into the curriculum will enhance the quality of medical services in Ukraine and secure a significant place for our university in the global medical arena.
