Excursion to the TNMU Library – New Impressions
What is a modern library? A modern library is not just a storage for books. It is a comfortable, technologically equipped, multifunctional open space where you can access information both in traditional formats and electronically. It is also a place where you can socialize with friends, hold a scientific conference or business meeting, participate in the presentation of new publications, attend a literary and artistic evening, or view an exhibition.

The Ternopil National Medical University library invites first-year students for introductory tours each year. This is a beautiful opportunity to see the library as a unique, open, limitless world of information accessible to everyone.

On October 10 and 11, 2024, students from groups MM112, MM115, MM116, MM117, and MM118 of the Medical Faculty attended the TNMU library.

The head of the circulation and storage department, Svitlana Shpunar, the head of the information and bibliographic department, Nataliia Vodiuk, and the leading librarian, Halyna Halat, introduced the guests to the university library and its departments. They explained the rules for using the library, the services available, and the opportunity to engage in communication in a friendly and warm atmosphere, as well as the possibility of spending leisure time in the cozy library.

First-year students visited the reading room, the lending library for educational and scientific literature, the scientific processing and acquisition department, the information and bibliographic department, the catalog and card file room, and the restroom. They also viewed exhibitions of new arrivals to the library and thematic book exhibitions and learned about the features of the electronic catalog.

In addition, the library guests had the chance to enjoy coffee and relieve stress with Princess, the library’s mascot cat, symbolizing the TNMU library.

Dear students! In our library’s convenient and cozy space, books and the internet await you, along with exciting events, meetings with extraordinary individuals, and many other services. Let the library become a place you will always want to visit throughout your years of study!
