Charity Event at the St. Veronica House of Mercy in Petrykiv
On October 25, 2024, the nuns organized a charity music event in the village of Petrykiv at the St. Veronica House of Mercy. Students from TNMU participated in the event. They were joined by academic staff from the Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Education Department, including Professor Dariia Popovych, Associate Professor Viktor Nazaruk, and Assistant Olena Vaida. During the visit, they brought gifts for the residents, including sweets, food, fruits, hygiene products, and more. These gifts were purchased with funds donated by students—future physical therapists—and faculty members from the Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Education Department.

At the event, attendees enjoyed familiar Ukrainian songs and modern local compositions. Each melody conveyed warmth and sincerity, reflecting the students’ and faculty’s support and compassion. The event organizers, Mykhailo Stavnychyi (TR-202), Nelya Humeniuk (MT-401), and Solomiia Hyz (MT-402), along with other students and faculty, created a heartfelt atmosphere of musical and emotional celebration for the residents.

Professor Dariia Popovych, Head of the Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Education Department, addressed everyone: “Golden autumn inspires a wonderful mood, lyrical music, and incredibly vivid reflections. It’s no coincidence that today, our student choir planned an event at the House of Mercy to share positive emotions and sing together.”

At the end of the charity concert, the residents of St. Veronica House of Mercy and the nuns expressed heartfelt gratitude to the organizers for the joy, moments of happiness, and cherished memories. Events like this allow people to dream, plan, create, and share love and warmth with those in need.

The organizers closed the event by thanking everyone for the warm reception and expressed hope for continuing this initiative, aspiring to make such events a cherished tradition.
