TNMU Students Teach Schoolchildren the Basics of Tactical Medicine
On October 12, 2024, TNMU medical students Diana Turyk (MM-304) and Daryna Yuzyuk (MM-516) organized a practical training session on pre-medical care using elements of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) for 9th-grade schoolchildren at Ternopil Secondary School No. 23. The students introduced the basics of tactical medicine, including the application of tourniquets and the use of military first aid kits.

The event aimed to raise adolescents’ awareness of first aid in extreme situations. The students demonstrated proper tourniquet application techniques, discussed the specifics of using various military first-aid kit components, and practiced response protocols for different injuries.

The schoolchildren actively participated in discussing the importance of timely first aid in emergency situations, asked questions, and practiced hands-on skills.
