Assistant Professor from the Department of Surgery No. 2 Shared Expertise on Postpartum Complications During a Lecture

On November 11, 2024, Dmytrii Khvalyboha, Assistant Professor at the Department of Surgery No. 2 and surgeon-proctologist, delivered a lecture, “Sensitive Postpartum Issues: When to See a Proctologist?” for TNMU students. Together with future medical professionals, he addressed the stigmas surrounding proctology, the challenges of postpartum complications, diagnostic methods, treatment options, surgical correction techniques, and prevention.

The discussion of a clinical case from Dr. Khvalyboha’s practice was particularly interesting to the students.

The project “Sensitive Postpartum Issues: When to See a Proctologist?” aimed to dispel myths associated with proctology, childbirth, and pregnancy and to shed light on the challenges of diagnosing and preventing postpartum conditions that affect gastrointestinal function, intimate life, and future pregnancies.

Dr. Khvalyboha’s lecture gave participants a deeper understanding of the importance of timely visits to a proctologist and effective methods for managing postpartum complications.

His comprehensive approach to debunking myths, detailed clinical case presentations, and practical advice significantly enhanced students’ medical knowledge. This is a vital step in developing the skills and expertise of future professionals, leading to improved patient care quality. Together, we advance medical knowledge to equip future specialists with the skills to provide timely, quality patient care.
