TNMU Faculty and Dental Interns Gave Children Beautiful Smiles

On November 13, 2024, faculty members of the Department of Dentistry at the Faculty of Postgraduate Education, dental interns, and residents organized their annual charity event as part of the “Healthy Smile for Children” project. They provided dental care for 12 children from the Novosilka Special School of the Ternopil Regional Council. The department’s dentists, interns, and students performed complete oral cavity sanitation for each child.

This charity event has become a tradition for the fourth consecutive year. The initiative was supported by Professor Vitaliy Shcherba, Associate Professors Oksana Lebid, Volodymyr Machohan, Kateryna Duda, Halyna Stoykevych, Vitaliy Luchynskyi, and Assistant Alina Bezhushko.

The interns demonstrated excellent skills in their work, including Artem Bohdanets, Nazar Borsai, Anastasiya Harbar, Andriy Hensyorskyi, Anastasiya Ohorodnik, Ihor Senchak, Roman Podolyak, Oleksandr Bondarchuk, Alina Bohonis, Maksym Strutynskyi, Bohdan Chernyak, as well as resident Oksana Petryk and 5th-year student Viktoriya Sanotska.

The event highlighted the strong communication skills of the faculty, interns, and residents while treating the children. Furthermore, the team worked harmoniously and professionally, creating a supportive environment.

The children were encouraged and praised for their courage. At the end of the event, they received healthy treats and were given a tour of the dental building and the simulation training center.

The best reward for the TNMU volunteers was the children’s happy smiles and words of gratitude.
