The Working Group Presented Its Doctoral Program in”Nursing” to the Academic Community of Rivne Medical Academy.

As part of a campaign to promote the educational and scientific program for specialty 223 “Nursing,” Ternopil National Medical University held its second online meeting on November 15, 2024. The meeting involved the ESP working group, stakeholders, potential employers, and program applicants, including Rivne Medical Academy staff and students.

Vice-Rector for Research Ivan Klishch opened the meeting with a welcoming speech. He discussed the development and prospects of the university’s scientific work, emphasizing the significant role of the ESP “Nursing.” He highlighted the program’s relevance, evidenced by the enrollment of PhD students from the United States in 2024.

The ESP “Nursing” guarantor, Maria Marushchak, outlined the key milestones in the program’s establishment at the university, challenges faced by the guarantor and working group, and the methods used to enable five program graduates to receive their PhD diplomas within the prescribed timeframe. She also mentioned the availability of scientific and practical journals at TNMU for publishing dissertation research results in the 223 “Nursing” specialty.

Head of the Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies Department, Nataliia Potikha, provided participants with details about the admission process to postgraduate studies, including essential recommendations and document submission requirements.

Associate Professor Lyudmyla Mazur presented the Department of Higher Nursing Education, Patient Care, and Clinical Immunology, detailing its faculty composition and ongoing scientific work. She emphasized the department’s collaboration with international partners, enabling the implementation of the latest trends in nursing research.

Dean of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Faculty, Larysa Korobko, highlighted the meeting’s relevance and the interest of master’s students in pursuing third-level higher education. She clarified the duration and specifics of the ESP and suggested organizing an additional meeting with program graduates who could share their dissertation research experiences.

The meeting also featured graduates of the ESP “Nursing” doctoral program—Khrystyna Novak-Mazepa, Nataliia Duzhych, and Oksana Batyukh—who shared positive feedback about their postgraduate studies at TNMU and their professional achievements made possible by earning a PhD.

The ESP “Nursing” working group expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the administration of Rivne Medical Academy, Rector Rostyslav Sabadyshyn, and Dean Larysa Korobko for their active collaboration in promoting this educational and scientific program.
