Meeting of the School of Educational Program Guarantors

On January 30, 2025, a scheduled meeting of the School of Educational Program Guarantors of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University took place. The event, chaired by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Professor Arkadii Shulhai, gathered educational program guarantors and faculty deans. Some critical issues were discussed, including the accreditation procedure for educational programs and changes introduced by new resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, which regulate the legal framework for organizing educational activities in the higher education system.

Additionally, a remote seminar for TNMU’s scientific and pedagogical staff was held on the topic “Accreditation of an Educational Program: Experts’ Perspective.” Nearly 100 participants joined, including department heads and academic supervisors.

The university Rector’s representative for quality assurance, an expert of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance, Associate Professor Hryhorii Zahrychuk, provided an in-depth overview of the updated assessment criteria for educational programs. His presentation was based on recommendations developed by the agency and outlined in the methodological guide “Clarifications on the Application of Educational Program Quality Assessment Criteria.”

The speaker highlighted key points from the “List of Significant Deficiencies”, which play a crucial role in the accreditation process of educational programs. He also addressed other essential factors contributing to the continuous improvement of higher education quality.
