Scientific and Practical Conference on the Treatment of Anxiety-Depressive Disorders

On February 17, 2025, the Mental Health Center held a scientific and practical conference for family doctors and addiction specialists. The event was dedicated to the topic: “Features of Treating Anxiety-Depressive Disorders Based on Symptom Severity.”

Professor Olena Venher, Head of the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology, and Medical Psychology at TNMU, delivered the lecture. She provided a detailed overview of modern approaches to treating patients with anxiety-depressive disorders, emphasizing the importance of selecting therapy based on symptom severity and the individual needs of each patient.

During the event, contemporary medications used for the treatment of anxiety and depressive disorders were discussed, including their mechanisms of action, effectiveness, potential side effects, and recommendations for clinical practice.

The conference served as a significant platform for experience exchange among doctors, contributing to healthcare professionals’ professional development and improving mental health care quality.
