“Easter Basket” Charity Initiative at TNMU
In celebration of the bright Easter holiday, Associate Professor Ivanna Kernychna organized a charity event “Easter Basket” at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University. The initiative aimed to support students from frontline regions of Ukraine currently studying at the university.

As part of the initiative, everyone willing could contribute financially or donate food to create festive Easter baskets for their fellow students who had been forced to flee their homes due to the war. These baskets included traditional Easter treats. This gesture was more than just aid—it was a sign of care and solidarity, a reminder of home warmth and national traditions.

Notably, faculty members of the Pharmaceutical Faculty also joined the initiative and prepared baskets for five students who had come to study at TNMU from Pokrovsk, Okhtyrka (Sumy region), Kherson, and Kramatorsk.

The moment each student received a basket was deeply emotional—many couldn’t hold back tears. It wasn’t just a gift—it was a real moment of warmth, hope, and care, especially for those far from their homes. It felt like a touch of home, a piece of childhood, and a reminder of family holidays. These emotions not only warm the soul but also strengthen one’s faith in humanity, unity, and the power of community.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who responded, cared, and shared kindness—because even the smallest gesture can become a great source of support.
