TNMU Continues Implementation of the LIFESTRAND Project
Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, knowledge of pre-medical aid has become a vital necessity for all citizens. Once again, the Ternopil Regional Youth Library invited paramedic students from TNMU to conduct pre-medical aid training sessions for schoolchildren and youth.

This year, the training was conducted within the framework of the LIFESTRAND project under the ERASMUS+ program “Training and Dissemination of Emergency Aid Skills for Higher Education Institutions and Communities in Conflict Zones of Ukraine and Georgia.”

The sessions were led by second-year paramedic students who had received instructor status within the project: Denys Odanchuk, Sofiia Shkarlat, Valeriia Dibrivka, and Mariia Boiko.

The core training elements included assessing personal safety, approaching a casualty, performing a primary survey, basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), controlling massive external bleeding, and providing post-resuscitation care.
