Delegation of Doctors from Taiwan Discussed Cooperation Opportunities with TNMU
On April 23, 2025, a team of volunteer doctors from Taiwan met with representatives of the administration of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University (TNMU) to discuss potential areas of collaboration. Most members of the delegation are affiliated with Mackay Memorial Hospital, a leading medical institution in Taiwan.

TNMU Rector, Professor Mykhailo Korda, welcomed the guests and spoke about the university’s innovative approaches to medical education, the challenges faced by Ukraine and its healthcare system during the full-scale invasion, and the institution’s achievements in science and research. Afterward, both parties discussed opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange.

Additionally, on April 23, cardiologists Dr. Kuan-Ting Chen and Dr. Shu-Jen Yeh delivered lectures to TNMU students on current topics in cardiology.

The guests had the opportunity to explore the university’s Research Laboratory and Simulation Training Center in more detail.

The primary purpose of the Taiwanese doctors’ visit was to provide free medical services during the deployment of a Mobile Clinic in Ukraine. In Ternopil, members of vulnerable groups and internally displaced persons were able to receive consultations and medical advice on April 23–24.
The mission was organized by the Christian Medical Association of Ukraine, and TNMU students actively assisted the Taiwanese doctors during patient consultations, including:
