Students from Chortkiv Medical Vocational College Spent a Day at TNMU

On April 24, 2025, nearly 30 students from Chortkiv Medical Vocational College — winners of student conferences and active participants in community life — together with their teachers visited I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University.

At the Morphological Building, Associate Professor Tetiana Henyk led a tour of the Department of Anatomy and the Anatomical Museum. The Head of the Department of Pathological Anatomy with a Section Course and Forensic Medicine, Professor Petro Selskyi, and Associate Professor Tetiana Holovata introduced the guests to the work of their department. At the Department of Histology, the visitors were welcomed by Professor Zoya Nebesna, Head of the Department and Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Morphology, along with Assistant Nataliia Ohinska.

An excursion to the Faculty of Pharmacy was conducted by Acting Dean Associate Professor Dmytro Korobko, who shared the history and unique features of the faculty’s educational activities. Associate Professor Anastasiia Dub and Assistant Nadiia Malanchuk from the Department of Pharmacy Management and Economics with Drug Technology gave the students the opportunity to experience what it’s like to work in a pharmacy. At the Department of Pharmacognosy with Medical Botany, Associate Professor Liudmyla Slobodianyk shared fascinating facts about the healing properties of plants.

The students also witnessed a laparotomy performed by Professor Mykhailo Hnatiuk, Head of the Department of Operative Surgery and Clinical Anatomy, and Associate Professor Oleh Yasinovskyi. They attended training sessions on professional development for surgeons from the course “Innovative Technologies in Surgery Using Laparoscopic Methods,” led by Associate Professor Myroslav Krytsak from the Department of Surgery of Postgraduate Education.

Professor Arsen Hudyma, Head of the Department of Emergency and Simulation Medicine, introduced the visitors to the history and operations of the Simulation Center. The tour was organized by the center’s head, Antonina Chervatiuk, along with specialists Valerii Zhyzhnomyrskyi and Oleh Kosinskyi.

Finally, the group learned about the activities of the Faculty of Dentistry, introduced by Associate Professor Svitlana Boitsaniuk, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry.
