The Project “Training and Dissemination of Emergency Care Skills for Higher Education Institutions and Communities in Combat Zones of Ukraine and Georgia” is Underway

On May 17, 2025, as part of the LIFESTRAND project under the ERASMUS+ program, a training session Training and Dissemination of Emergency Care Skills for Higher Education Institutions and Communities in Combat Zones of Ukraine and Georgia.” was held. The training was conducted for the National Scout Organization of Ukraine in the village of Pidvolochysk.

A total of 28 participants had the opportunity to practice hands-on skills in providing aid to victims experiencing sudden cardiac arrest, severe bleeding, upper airway obstruction by foreign objects, life-threatening conditions, and in performing transport immobilization. Thanks to modern equipment, the training was both high-quality and engaging. Participants actively took part in the practical components of the course and in discussions of various clinical scenarios.

The training was conducted by junior instructors of the project—Nazarii Krulyk, Vitalina Sulyma, and Olena Nesterenko—students of Ternopil National Medical University. Both the students and course participants were satisfied with the experience, having gained valuable knowledge and made new connections.

The instructors were inspired by the dedication and interest shown by the course attendees, who worked diligently throughout the training, asked many questions, and discussed a wide range of emergency situations.
