An Open Online Lecture on “Aspects of the Functioning of the Healthcare System in Ukraine”
As part of the educational process for students enrolled in the educational and professional programs “Healthcare Management” and “Public Health”, an open online lecture was held on the topic “Aspects of the Functioning of the Healthcare System in Ukraine.”

The invited speaker was Tetiana Pysklyvets, an experienced healthcare manager, Deputy Director of the“Ternopil Municipal City Hospital No. 2”, and a Candidate of Medical Sciences.

During the lecture, Tetiana Pysklyvets provided participants with highly relevant and informative insights into the key aspects of organizing and operating Ukraine’s modern healthcare system, paying particular attention to the following issues:
Current challenges facing the healthcare system, including workforce shortages, the need for digital transformation, ensuring equitable access to quality healthcare services, and optimization of the medical facility network.
Clustering of healthcare facilities based on levels of medical care in accordance with modern requirements and standards;
New healthcare service packages planned for funding by the National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU) in 2025 — their content, conditions for provision, and resource allocation mechanisms;

Special attention was given to the relationship between management approaches and the effectiveness of healthcare institutions, with an emphasis on the role of future healthcare managers and public health specialists in implementing patient-centered reforms.
Engaging experienced practitioners like Tetiana Pysklyvets in the educational process helps students gain a deeper understanding of real-world healthcare management mechanisms and strengthens the connection between theoretical knowledge and its practical application.
