TNMU Representatives Honored on World Blood Donor Day
Ternopil National Medical University and the Ternopil Regional Blood Service Center have a long-standing history of cooperation. TNMU faculty, students, and staff have repeatedly responded to urgent calls to donate blood for both civilian patients and wounded soldiers.
On June 14, in recognition of World Blood Donor Day, the Ternopil Regional Blood Service Center held a ceremonial event to honor the most active participants in the donor movement and to present them with awards and gifts.
Associate Professor Marta Rudenko, Head of the Center for Educational Work and Cultural Development, received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Ternopil Regional Council and a badge of honor from the Mayor of Ternopil.

Certificates of Appreciation from the Regional Blood Service Center were also presented to Associate Professor Svitlana Boitsaniuk, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, and Taras Borys, Head of the Legal Department, as well as to students Davyd Skrekotnyi, Nazar Krulyk, Pavlo Melnyk, Andrii Palamarchuk, Serhii Ostroushko, Bohdan Hulman, Arsen Poliakov, and Olena Prots — all of whom are regular blood donors.

It is worth noting that one of the most active donors was Ivan Popil, a fallen graduate of the Faculty of Medicine. In his memory, a tribute video was created for World Blood Donor Day, which deeply resonated with TNMU alumni, faculty, and students.
In his speech, Acting Director General of the Ternopil Regional Blood Service Center Vasyl Khominets expressed heartfelt thanks to all donors, praised their constant willingness to help, and wished everyone good health, peace, and Victory.
