Representatives of TNMU Completed an Internship at the National University of Pharmacy
From April 21 to May 30, 2025, representatives of the Department of Pharmacognosy and Medical Botany of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University—Professor Svitlana Marchyshyn, Associate Professor Olha Demydiak, Associate Professor Iryna Dakhym, and Associate Professor Liudmyla Slobodianiuk—completed an internship in the educational components “Pharmacognosy with Fundamentals of Resource Studies,” “Nutritional Science,” “Pharmaceutical Botany,” and “Pharmacognostic Fundamentals of Phytotherapy” at the National University of Pharmacy (Kharkiv).
The main goal of the internship was to familiarize the participants with the organization of the educational process, methodological and research work, and teaching methods used by the Department of Pharmacognosy and Nutritional Science at the National University of Pharmacy. It also aimed to adopt the pedagogical experience of its faculty to enhance the teaching of educational components and develop professional competencies.





During the internship, the participants studied the experience of the teaching staff of the Department of Pharmacognosy and Nutritional Science of the NUP regarding the organization of ongoing academic performance control, content modules, and semester assessments. They also learned from the practical classes and lectures delivered by NUP instructors: Professor O. Khvorost, Professor N. Burda, Associate Professor V. Mashtaler, Associate Professor O. Novosel, and Assistant V. Protska.




The experience gained during the internship will contribute to improving the teaching of the educational components “Pharmacognosy with Fundamentals of Resource Studies,” “Nutritional Science,” “Pharmaceutical Botany,” and “Pharmacognostic Fundamentals of Phytotherapy,” thanks to the theoretical preparation and practical experience obtained at the Department of Pharmacognosy and Nutritional Science of the NUP.

The participants sincerely thank the Acting Rector of the NUP, Professor Alla Kotvitska, the Vice-Rector for Research, Professor Inna Vladymyrova, and the Head of the Department of Pharmacognosy and Nutritional Science, Professor Viktoriia Kyslychenko, for organizing and conducting the internship at a high scientific and educational-methodological level.
