TNMU Honored the Fallen Heroes of Ukraine

On August 29, 2025, faculty and students of Ternopil National Medical University gathered in the university’s administrative building to honor the memory of students and graduates who gave their lives in the battles for Ukraine’s independence. TNMU chaplain, Father Ihor Drapak, held a memorial service with prayers that all our fallen defenders may receive God’s mercy and that their souls may find eternal peace.

Our university has lost 22 brave combat medics, paramedics, and commanders, including Oleksandr Kobernyk, Taras Yanush, Taras Baran, Vitalii Bezkorovainyi, Oleh Ulianchuk, Yaroslav Zhebeliuk, Serhii Konoval (Nord), Vasyl Kekish, Ivan Mynio, Andrii Misiats, Oleksandr Prokopchuk, Oleksandr Shabanov, Serhii Shyshkovskyi, Mykhailo Shysh, Yaroslav Markiv, Mykhailo Stasiv, Volodymyr Vovk, Volodymyr Kravets, Yurii Harak, Bohdan Malenkyi, Ivan Popil, and Yaroslav Savchak.

On the Alley of Heroes at the Mykulynets Cemetery, representatives of the TNMU Student Parliament laid flowers on the graves of Mykhailo Stasiv, Yaroslav Markiv, Serhii Konoval, Serhii Shyshkovskyi, Yurii Harak, and Volodymyr Vovk.
