A Joint Meeting of the Conference of the Labor Collective and the Academic Council of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University was Held

On August 29, 2025, a joint meeting of the Conference of the Labor Collective and the Academic Council of TNMU took place.

Before the meeting, the Rector of the University, Professor Mykhailo Korda, in a solemn setting, presented awards to the university staff.

Certificates of Honor of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine were awarded to:

Professor Arkadii Shulhai;

Associate Professor Andrii Dovbush;

Associate Professor Taras Kadobnyi.

Certificates of Honor from the Ternopil Regional Military Administration were awarded to:

Professor Mariia Shkilna;

Associate Professor Stepan Hrytsenko;

Associate Professor Iryna Halabitska;

Associate Professor Mariia Shanaida;

Associate Professor Andrii Mashtalir;

Associate Professor Svitlana Danchak.

Certificates of Honor from the Regional Council were awarded to:

  • Professor Iryna Kamyshna;
  • Associate Professor Alina Dovhaliuk;
  • Associate Professor Svitlana Kucher;
  • Specialist of the Center for Simulation Training, Nadiia Pasiaka.

Acknowledgment of the City Mayor was received by Associate Professor Volodymyr Machohan.

The main part of the meeting was opened by the Head of the University Trade Union Committee, Professor Petro Lykhatskyi.

By open voting, the delegates of the Conference of the Labor Collective elected the Credentials and Counting Commissions.

On the first item of the agenda, “Results of the University’s activities for the 2024–2025 academic year and the main tasks for the new academic year,” the Rector of the University, Professor Korda, delivered a report.

Information about the admission of students of the 2025–2026 academic year and the approval of activities for 2026 was provided by the Executive Secretary of the Admission Committee, Associate Professor Ihor Drach.

Vice-Rector for Science and Education, Professor A. Shulhai, provided information on the issue of “Approval of work plans of the Academic Council, Rectorate, Dean’s Offices, Research Department, Commissions, and a set of measures for the organization of the educational process in the 2025–2026 academic year.”
