Solemn Matriculation Ceremony for Students of the Faculty of Medicine at TNMU
On August 31, 2025, the Faculty of Medicine of Ivan Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University solemnly welcomed nearly 300 new students of the “Medicine” program. The event began with a moment of silence to honor the memory of the heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine’s independence.

Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Professor Petro Lykhatskyi, addressed the students with a welcoming speech:
“I sincerely congratulate you on the beginning of a new and extremely important stage in your life. You have chosen a noble and responsible profession—the profession of a doctor. This path will require perseverance, constant learning, and dedication. I wish you success, inspiration, and strength to walk this path with dignity and to become highly qualified specialists.”

The guarantor of the educational and professional program, Professor Oleksandra Oleshchuk, also addressed the freshmen. She not only wished them success in their studies but also gave a detailed overview of the knowledge and practical skills the students will acquire:
“Welcome to the great family of medical professionals! Today, you are taking your first step toward your dream, and I want to assure you that you will gain not only knowledge but also support and mentorship from our faculty. Remember that medicine is not just a profession—it is a calling. I wish you successful studies and an engaging student life.”

The honor of reading the solemn Student Oath was given to the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Associate Professor Ihor Drach.



Dean of the Faculty of Medicine also presented matriculation certificates to the students who achieved the highest scores in the National Multi-Subject Test. The recipients were: Olesia Burlatska (MM-102), Valeriia Hamar (MM-110), Illia Harkusha (MM-120), Kateryna Hach (MM-109), Iryna Hiltai (MM-111), Kateryna Kostiuk (MM-103), Mariia Kukharchuk (MM-121), Antonina Muzyka (MM-104), Anastasiia Panchak (MM-107), Anna Popovych (MM-110), Yuliia Strykytsia (MM-119), Fedora Teremchuk (MM-116), and Bohdan Yablonskyi (MM-103).
