TNMU Started the Academic Year with New Equipment from the Ukrainian-Swiss Project “Medical Education Development”
Ternopil National Medical University is a participant of the second phase of the Ukrainian-Swiss project “Medical Education Development”, which was launched in July 2023 and will run until June 2027. To strengthen the capacity and resources of medical universities, particularly in the training of family doctors and family nurses, our university recently received high-value modern equipment within the framework of the second phase. The equipment has already been installed and is being used for educational purposes at the Simulation Training Center.

Thus, TNMU has started the new academic year with enhanced opportunities for delivering educational services and preparing highly qualified professionals for the primary healthcare sector.
The equipment package includes:
a 4th-generation adult auscultation simulator;
an ultrasound diagnostic system;
a spirometer;
an oto-ophthalmoscope.

The Ukrainian-Swiss project “Medical Education Development” is being implemented in Ukraine by the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH) with the financial support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). Its main goal is to improve the quality of healthcare in Ukraine by advancing the medical education system.
On behalf of the entire community of Ternopil National Medical University, we express our deep gratitude to the partners of the Ukrainian-Swiss project “Medical Education Development” for their significant support. Thanks to your assistance, TNMU has received modern high-tech equipment, which will greatly improve the quality of training of future professionals. Your support is invaluable for the development of medical education in Ukraine and for our shared goal – improving the quality of healthcare in the country.
