TNMU Psychiatry Department Assistant Organized a Professional Meeting in Zaliztsi Community on Educators’ Burnout

On October 8, 2025, at the Specialized Secondary School I–III levels with Advanced Foreign Language Studies in Zaliztsi, a themed event titled “Professional Burnout of Education Workers” took place. The event was dedicated to World Mental Health Day, which is observed annually on October 10.

The lecture and training session was conducted by Tetiana Ivanitska-Diachun, Assistant at the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology, and Medical Psychology at Ternopil National Medical University. School psychologists, social educators, and deputy principals from the community’s educational institutions participated in the meeting.

During the session, participants discussed the main signs and causes of professional burnout in the educational environment, the neurobiological mechanisms of chronic stress, the differences between burnout and depression, as well as effective strategies for prevention and support for teachers. A dedicated segment focused on planning activities to promote the psycho-emotional well-being of both students and teachers in the community’s schools.

The event was held in an atmosphere of mutual respect and professional exchange. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions, share their own observations and experiences, and jointly discuss the realities and challenges of the educational process in contemporary conditions.

The meeting was held within the framework of the National Program for Mental Health and Psychosocial Support, initiated by Ukraine’s First Lady, Olena Zelenska, as part of the nationwide campaign.
