Students of the Nursing Institute Organized a Charity Fair to Support Ukraine’s Defenders
On the occasion of the Defenders of Ukraine Day, the Feast of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin, and the Day of Ukrainian Cossacks, students from all undergraduate and master’s courses of the Ternopil National Medical University (TNMU) Nursing Institute, together with student group curators and faculty members from the Department of Higher Nursing Education, Patient Care, and Clinical Immunology, organized a charity fair. The event became a true expression of unity, kindness, and faith in the victory of the Ukrainian people.

Despite the cold weather, students enthusiastically and with warm smiles presented homemade treats, cakes, bruschettas, cookies, and desserts, decorating the tables in a national style. Each item was made with love, as the students emphasized: “We baked ourselves because everyone must do something to win!”

The funds raised at the fair were donated to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine through the university’s Center for Educational Work and Cultural Development.

On the same day, students, together with department curators, visited servicemen undergoing rehabilitation at the Ternopil Regional Clinical Hospital. They congratulated the defenders on the holiday and shared their homemade dishes. Medical staff and patients sincerely thanked the students and faculty for their attention, warmth, and humanity. The servicemen expressed heartfelt gratitude, noting that such support gives them strength and faith in a speedy return to service.

The team of the Nursing Institute is proud of its students, their civic stance, kind hearts, and readiness to help those who are fighting today for Ukraine’s freedom and independence. The institute will continue to support student initiatives aimed at promoting volunteerism and fostering a responsible attitude among future nurses.
