Visit of the TNMU Pediatric Consultative Team

On November 12, 2025, the pediatric consultative team visited the Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise “Family Medicine General Practice Outpatient Clinic” in the village of Toky, Ternopil region, to provide consultations and conduct specialized, in-depth medical examinations for children.

For this purpose, a university team was established by the rector’s order, consisting of:

T. Vorontsova – Associate Professor, Department of Pediatric Diseases and Pediatric Surgery

S. Nykytiuk – Professor, Department of Pediatric Diseases and Pediatric Surgery

N. Shcherbatiuk – Associate Professor, Department of Pediatric Diseases and Pediatric Surgery

S. Levenets – Associate Professor, Department of Pediatric Diseases and Pediatric Surgery

M. Protsailo – Associate Professor, Department of Pediatric Diseases and Pediatric Surgery

I. Krytskyi – Associate Professor, Department of Pediatric Diseases and Pediatric Surgery

A. Holinovska – PhD student, Department of Neurology

Dmytro Deliu – first-year intern, Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Ophthalmology, etc.

During the visit, 36 children were examined by each specialist of the team. Children came not only from the village of Toky but also from nearby settlements, including Palchyntsi and Vorubiivka, among them local residents as well as children from internally displaced families.

Various medical issues were identified in most examined children. Diagnoses included both newly detected conditions and confirmed chronic diseases.

Based on the results of the examinations:

4 children were referred for inpatient treatment

specialists prescribed outpatient treatment

additional examinations were recommended (echocardiography, X-ray, and ultrasound studies)
