Students of Ternopil Classical Lyceum Visited the Simulation Training Center of TNMU
On November 12, 2025, students of Ternopil Classical Lyceum, accompanied by Associate Professor of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at TNMU Tetiana Kucher and the lyceum’s practical psychologist Mariia Kvilinska, visited the Simulation Training Center of Ternopil National Medical University.

Oleh Kosinskyi, a specialist at the center, introduced the students to the possibilities offered by modern technologies in medical education. The visitors learned how students practice practical skills using high-fidelity mannequins and simulators that model clinical situations as close to real-life conditions as possible.

The students tried themselves in the role of life-savers: under the guidance of the center’s specialists, they performed chest compressions during basic resuscitation procedures, located a pulse, listened to breathing, and assessed the “patient’s” response. During the visit, the students were also interested in learning about the specifics of studying at a medical university and the opportunities available in the healthcare field.

Given the challenges of war, a new and important area is “Prosthetics and Orthotics.” The center’s specialists also introduced the students to the specifics of this field.

Such interactive activities help young people understand the importance of first aid and appreciate the value of the medical profession. The Simulation Training Center of TNMU creates a safe and effective educational environment where everyone can feel like part of a life-saving team.

This direct exposure to the professional environment motivates young people to reflect on their future career paths and fosters deep respect for the work of healthcare professionals.
