TNMU Students Talked to Schoolchildren About Hormones
On November 27, 2025, students of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University (group MM-218) — Anna Stadnyk, Petro Kovalyk, and Yaroslav Semenov — organized an informative session for the students of I. Franko Ternopil Academic Lyceum “Ukrainian Gymnasium ” on the topic “The Biochemistry of Happiness.”

During the lecture, the schoolchildren learned how four key hormones — dopamine, serotonin, endorphins, and oxytocin — influence our daily functioning, particularly our mood, memory, sleep, concentration, and ability to learn effectively. The students explained the main mechanisms of their action and discussed simple daily habits that help maintain emotional balance and enhance overall well-being.

The meeting took place in an open and engaging format, where the pupils asked questions, actively participated in the discussion, and showed genuine interest in the topic, making the lecture dynamic and meaningful.
Special thanks are due to our beloved biology teacher, Halyna Sopivnyk, for the opportunity to deliver the lecture at the lyceum.

Returning to our native school walls and seeing you again was truly a pleasure. We received many warm emotions and sincere inspiration.
We are very grateful for the warm welcome, support, and trust that you have shown us. The attentive and kind way the children received us added inspiration and strength.
For us, you are an exemplar of professionalism, sincerity, and dedication to your work. We will always remember with great respect the role you played in our school’s development.
