An Event Dedicated to World AIDS Day

To mark World AIDS Day, the Educational and Scientific Institute of Nursing at TNMU organized an educational and informational event aimed at raising students’ awareness of HIV prevention and fostering responsible attitudes toward personal health.

During the meeting, students learned about current epidemiological data, modern methods of HIV diagnosis and prevention, and had the opportunity to ask questions in an open discussion format. The use of interactive elements helped deepen understanding of the material, particularly through the analysis of real clinical cases and the debunking of common societal myths.

Special attention was given to communication with patients living with HIV. Students discussed principles of non-discriminatory care, the importance of confidentiality and sensitive interaction, and explored psychological support methods that help build trust and improve the quality of medical care.

Such events are an important component of professional training for future healthcare workers. They promote a culture of safe behavior, enhance medical literacy, and strengthen the readiness of specialists to conduct effective preventive work within the community.
