TNMU Student Leadership and the Center for Academic Integrity Define Shared Directions for Collaboration
On December 4, 2025, an important meeting took place aimed at strengthening cooperation between the TNMU Center for Academic Integrity and representatives of the student community — the Student Scientific Society and the University Student Parliament.

The meeting was opened by Professor Arkadii Shulhai, Vice-Rector for Science and Education. In his introductory remarks, he emphasized that academic integrity is an integral part of the educational process, and further strengthening it is of paramount importance.

The discussion was moderated by Associate Professor Iryna Stechyshyn, Head of the Center for Academic Integrity. The purpose of the meeting was to address key issues and outline areas for future collaboration and cooperation. The conversation took place in a constructive and welcoming atmosphere. Participants highlighted how principles of academic integrity are integrated into the everyday life of the university. It was emphasized that academic integrity is crucial for establishing a robust educational and research foundation for the university.
Iryna Stechyshyn noted that students demonstrate a high level of awareness and responsibility in this area. However, the shared task is to continue developing and reinforcing this culture among all learners. Academic integrity was presented not as a strict control, but as a value that requires continual cultivation.
The discussion also addressed improving informational support, particularly the content of the Center for Academic Integrity’s webpage. Students suggested adding practical materials that would help them navigate requirements for formatting academic papers, proper citation, and avoiding academic misconduct.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed on active collaboration and planned several joint initiatives, including educational seminars, training sessions, and information campaigns to further promote academic integrity and integrate its principles into the learning and research activities of TNMU students.
Thus, the meeting marked a successful start to cooperation aimed at strengthening the culture of integrity at the university through the combined efforts of the Center and the active student community.
