The Light of Christmas Within TNMU Walls: The Choir and Theatre Studio Brought Festive Magic to the University
Christmas caroling at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University is a long-standing tradition. Two creative groups—the TNMU Choir and the Art-Drama Theatre Studio—prepare a program of Christmas carols and a traditional Nativity play every year. This year, the festive greetings were heard on December 30, 2025.

This year’s Nativity performance was filled with a special emotional uplift. Ancient carols performed by the choir (conductor — Anna Khmelnytska) invited everyone to pause for a moment and hold their breath, immersing the audience in the unique atmosphere of Christmas.

The Acting Rector of TNMU, Professor Arkadii Shulhai, expressed his gratitude for the way the university’s creative community promotes Christian values and preserves Ukrainian traditions through such performances.

“Looking at our talented youth, one realizes that the Ukrainian soul is unbreakable. May this majestic carol bring peace to your families and the long-awaited peace and victory to our native land. I wish all of us good health, God’s protection, and an inexhaustible faith in a better future,” Arkadii Shulhai noted.

The festive atmosphere was created by the actors of the Art-Drama Theatre Studio—Diana Burdiak, Diana Kliots, Demian Yashchyshyn, Nazarii Bobko, Sofia Boichuk, Kateryna Savchenko, and Daryna Fedoriv. This creative group is supervised by Mariana Varvaruk.
