Embroidered Symbols of Victory: A Shared Effort That Saves Lives

In November–December 2025, within the framework of the “Embroidered Symbols of Victory” project, staff members of the library of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University handed over another batch of embroidered New Year decorations to the organization Charitable Foundation “Ray of Sunshine – We Are Against Burns.”

These handmade items were sold abroad as part of the “Parcel of Victory” initiative, and all funds raised were directed toward a charitable cause—the purchase of a vehicle for the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade. The donated vehicle will provide crucial support in carrying out combat missions and help preserve the most valuable thing—the lives of our defenders.

This event is a vivid demonstration that the joint efforts of dozens of people in Ukraine, particularly in Ternopil, who create souvenirs and handmade items, and dozens of caring Ukrainians in Germany, who organize charity events, have a real and tangible impact. On weekends, holidays, and Sundays, setting aside personal time with family and friends, they pack and unpack, present the items, and sincerely communicate with everyone who stops by, helping to fill the donation box. It is from such moments that great deeds are born, culminating in the transfer of much-needed vehicles to the military at their request.

The vehicle was blessed by Fathers Volodymyr Andrukhiv and Yaroslav Yefremov. The event was attended by craftswomen and project leaders: Olena Mudra, Olena Protsiv (Director of the TNMU Library), Svitlana Shpunar, Iryna Stasyshyn, Larysa Datsenko, Svitlana Dembrovska, Nataliia Vodiuk, Halyna Halat, Svitlana Pushkar, Valentyna Halaichuk, Valeriia Hryskiv, Liubomyra Kish, Halyna Kharytonova, Tetiana Kovalska, Yevheniia Demkiv, Nadiia Syvenka, Nataliia Koberniuk, and Liudmyla Khomyn.

We sincerely thank everyone who supports this initiative, believes in the power of joint efforts, and brings our Victory closer every day.
