Traditional Blessing with Epiphany Water at TNMU

On January 13, 2026, at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, the chaplain of the higher education institution, Father Ihor Drapak, visited the administrative building to congratulate the academic community on the bright feast of the Baptism of the Lord and to perform the rite of water blessing.

Addressing those present, Father Ihor emphasized the importance of spiritual unity and faith during the challenging times facing the country. He wished the entire university staff God’s blessing in all their endeavors, prosperity and academic success, good health, and—most importantly—a just peace for all of Ukraine.

Accompanied by a joint prayer, the chaplain performed the rite of sprinkling all university premises with blessed Epiphany (Jordan) water. This annual ceremony symbolizes spiritual purification, renewal, and protection for the entire university family.
