Representatives of the “Johanniter Mission Siret” Charity Organization Donate an Ambulance to TNMU
On January 28, 2026, representatives of the charitable organization “Johanniter Mission Siret” (Romania) visited I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University (TNMU) with an important mission — to donate an ambulance for TNMU’s needs, which can be used for student training and clinical work. The foreign delegation was led by Ana-Maria Maidaniuc (Romania) and included Elisabeth Laman (Netherlands), Trip Kim Jansen (Netherlands), Otto Eulenburg (Germany), Nicolaus Abt (Germany), Gotthard von Falkenhausen (Germany), Peter Lohse (Germany), and Franziska von Zech (Germany).

The cooperation between TNMU and Johanniter Mission Siret has been ongoing for several years and serves as an example of effective international partnership in medicine and humanitarian support.

The delegation met with the Acting Rector of TNMU, Professor Mykhailo Korda. During the meeting, they discussed further cooperation, including the implementation of humanitarian initiatives, support for regional medical institutions, and the development of international partnerships.


As a token of appreciation for long-term collaboration, Mykhailo Korda presented the representatives of Johanniter Mission Siret with letters of thanks and commemorative gifts.

During the visit, humanitarian aid was also delivered to Ternopil City Municipal Hospital No. 2, including medical supplies and a specialized medical tent. The delegation was welcomed by the hospital’s Medical Director of Pediatrics, Oleh Kobryn, who acquainted the guests with the hospital’s operations and needs. Additionally, Koziivka Central District Hospital received humanitarian assistance.

In total, Ternopil City Municipal Hospital No. 2 received 3,115 kg of medical supplies, while Koziivka Central District Hospital received 680 kg.

Students from TNMU’s university-wide volunteer movement “Misericordia” participated in the mission, including Sofiia Kucharchuk, Yelyzaveta Myakhkota, Dmytro Pasiievych, Viktoriia Mosula, Stanislav Slyvka, Varvara Liashchuk, Valentyna Dydyk, Tetiana Hrasovnyk, Kateryna Naumchuk, Viktoriia Kalyn, Karina Bizhko, and Kateryna Lushpins’ka.
