TNMU Students Decorated Gingerbread Cookies for the Defenders of Ukraine

On February 25, 2026, students of Ternopil National Medical University participated in a charity gingerbread-decorating workshop. The event was held in TNMU’s biological building as part of the “Victory Parcel” project, with the support of the public organization “Defense of the State.” All decorated gingerbread cookies will be delivered to Ukrainian service members.

Active participants in the workshop included students of group MM-309 — Oleksandr Osadchuk, Oleksandr Rys, Maksym Ivaskiv, Olha Kazimirska, Solomiia Hyras, Solomiia Hryshchuk, Viktoriia Tsiuros, Karina Brovynska, Khrystyna Pytliar, and Oleksandr Sydorovych — together with their curator, Assistant of the Department of Microbiology, Virology and Immunology Iryna Stakhurska.

Students of group FF-201 — Marta Kuz, Veronika Dovhan, Albina Havryliuk, Inna Fanda, Viktoriia Vavryniuk, Emilia Podliesna, Kostiantyn Vyshniovskyi, Daryna Rehentovska, Maryna Maslova, Viktoriia Syklitska, Oksana Korchemna, Iryna Behal, Oleksandra Maslova, and Illia Ivanov — also put much heartfelt warmth into each gingerbread cookie.

Associate Professor of the Department of Functional and Laboratory Diagnostics Halyna Habor joined the organization of the event together with students of her advisory group MM-610, Nadiia Luchyshyn and Oksana Petryshyn, who came to decorate the cookies immediately after their rector’s assessment test.

Three more students from group MM-424 — Andrii Ilnytskyi, Mariia Andrukhiv, and Albina Pylypchuk — found time after the Therapy Olympiad to contribute to the charitable cause. Fourth-year medical student Diana Lytviak responded to the announcement published on TNMU’s official social media pages and joined the gingerbread decorating initiative.

Special thanks go to Associate Professor in the Department of Microbiology, Virology and Immunology, Olena Pokryshko, for her tireless volunteer work and for promoting volunteering at TNMU. She continuously seeks creative ideas to engage young people in meaningful initiatives and actively supports student endeavors. This time, the request to organize the gingerbread decorating workshop was initiated by Albina Pylypchuk and Nazar Litnianskyi, who assumed the responsibilities of event coordinators.
